Kim Galbán-Countryman

Managing Partner

Kimberly Galbán-Countryman is a seasoned nonprofit professional with decades of experience and a deep understanding of what it takes for nonprofit organizations to thrive. As both a project consultant, and later Executive Director, she was instrumental in bringing North Florida’s first independent living community for people with disabilities, Independence Landing, from concept to reality. Prior to that, she served as CEO of Lighthouse of the Big Bend, where she worked with people with vision loss; at Big Bend Homeless Coalition, serving people without housing; at Southern Scholarship Foundation, where she focused on development in support of economically disadvantaged students in higher ed; at United Partners for Human Services, a coalition of local human services nonprofits in Florida’s Big Bend region; and at The Family Café, connecting people with disabilities with information training. She has volunteered on several nonprofit Boards of Directors, including those of Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend, and United Partners for Human Services. This extensive experience of involvement with varied aspects of different organizations has given her insight into all aspects of nonprofit operation, from program design and implementation, fundraising, and grant writing, to board governance, client management, and data collection. She is an adept problem solver, with a remarkable ability to identify issues, develop strategies and solutions, and implement them effectively.

Jeremy Countryman

Partner

Jeremy Countryman is a tested nonprofit leader with both firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of a well-established nonprofit organization and experience delivering effective technical assistance to partner organizations in all phases of growth. He has worked at Florida’s leading disability organization, The Family Café, connecting stakeholders with information and training since 2005, and currently serves as its Vice President. During that time, he has been central in implementing The Annual Family Café, the nation’s largest statewide cross-disability event. He has worked directly on all aspects of the organization’s operations, including responsibility for all written communications, including public-facing areas like website content and social media, as well as business-side needs like grant application and reporting. Since 2010, he has led The CAFÉ TA Center, the organization’s federally funded technical assistance grant program for adult mental health. In that capacity, he has worked with grassroots mental health nonprofits across multiple states, supporting their development from startup and initial program development through strategic planning and towards sustainability. With a background in writing and a wealth of experience, he has unique expertise in messaging and communication, including grant writing, public relations, and constituent communications, as well as strong working understanding of what makes nonprofits tick.

Dr. Melinda Piller

Consultant

Dr. Melinda Piller began her political/legislative career, working as a political operative and lobbyist in local, state, and levels.  She continues to work for associations and nonprofit organizations across Florida.  Services include advocacy, board/staff training, program development and analysis, strategic planning, community outreach, marketing, and communications.  Dr. Piller holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Business Organization and Management. As the senior manager in the Florida Education Association, she directed the political, legislative, and communications divisions for 12 years and has been the lobbyist for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Piller for over 17 years.  Dr. Piller began her academic career 16 years ago, at Barry University, Flagler College, and Thomas University where she taught undergrad and graduate courses in public administration and business management.

Daniel “Danny” Lee Wilson, J. D.

Consultant

Danny Wilson has worked in both the plaintiff and insurance sides of litigation. He has over 40 years of corporate insurance and legal experience as a Corporate Representative and is currently a Legal Auditor for Bottomline Technologies.

Bottomline Technologies has offices located in the U.S., Australia, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Kosovo, Israel & France, with a total of over 2,000 employees and over 600,000 clients spanning 92.
